Rough, Mean, Rude, Cruel
Wife of John Tubman
Conductor, carried gun
Wanted to see her people free and getting
along with white people.
Hated her master a lot.
She did not like slavery.
She loved to get fresh air.
She found out about the drinking gourd when
she was 11 years old.
As a young girl she was hired out by her master,
Mr. Brodas, to baby-sit and clean.
